ABOUT TESS INMAN
Helping couples understand their patterns
Tess Inman is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor who specializes in working with couples and families, as well as individuals facing relational and systemic challenges. She earned her Master’s in Counselor Education at Duquesne University and has built her practice around helping people understand the dynamics that shape their closest relationships.
Tess works extensively with the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy. Rather than simply managing conflict, she helps partners understand their patterns, strengthen their connection, and build the skills for a lasting, healthier relationship — whether they’re navigating a rough season, preparing for marriage, or wanting to reconnect after years together.
Her style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every relationship has patterns worth understanding. Tess creates a space where couples and individuals can do real work without judgment, and leave with practical tools they can actually use.

CARE PHILOSOPHY
Real work, real tools — not a rigid program
Tess approaches couples and family work with a simple belief: therapy should give you something you can actually use. There are no high-pressure program commitments, no treatment plans you didn’t agree to, and no one-size-fits-all protocol dropped on top of your relationship.
She works collaboratively, helping partners and families understand the patterns driving their conflict rather than just managing the symptoms. Grounded in the Gottman Method, her sessions focus on practical, research-based tools — communication, repair, and connection — that couples can carry out of the room and into daily life. You set the goals together, and the work adjusts as you make progress.
